This tour is similar like 'World Heritage Easy Trekking Tour' but this tour do more sightseeing then walking. cf. 'World Heritage Easy Trekking Tour' is more trekking based tour.

Our guide will pick you up in the lobby (on the 1st floor if lobby is not on the first floor) of your hotel in Seoul. Our guide who are knowledgeable, friendly and flexible will make your day.

Tour Description

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

You will visit the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress in the morning. The fortress is look like mild walk way. You will walk along some part of the 5.7 km long fortress all. We recommend you to wear comfortable shoes and clothing even though it is easy and comfortable walking.

You can experience Korean Traditional Archery shooting if the archery is on operation and not sold out for little extra pay, because it is outside of the Seoul the organizing of archery is unstable.

Then our guide will bring you to the another section of the fortress. You will see the dynamic 24 Martial Art performance here. The performance is more dynamic than the Change of the Royal Guards ceremony. The performance is about 25 minutes (no performance on Mondays).

Korean Folk Village

After lunch at Suwon Hwaseong fortress or at Korean Folk Village, you will continue sightseeing to Korean Folk Village. Korean Folk Village is "Village of Korean History" so that Koreans as well as foreign tourists can understand Korean people's life.

Buildings are relocated here from all over the Korea. So there are different types and functions of building according to class, job and region. For instance, a building in the south of Korean peninsular has more open space than a building in north of Korean peninsular. Naturally, luxury house for the reach and the more functional house for middle class people. It's a nice experience to see the different types of houses from peasant, farmer and nobleman and magistrate office in the past.

Folk village is not only buildings but also there are lots of culture of marketplace, farm animals, traditional performances, games as well as a museum.  This place is a one-stop place to gain a better understanding of Korea's history and culture.
